About
The Griffin Museum and Elizabeth Avedon are pleased to offer this two-weekend online program.
Learn the essential principles of designing a successful photography book. Drawing on over 30 years of industry experience, Elizabeth Avedon will guide you through the foundations of great book design. You will learn how to sequence, edit, select typography, design covers, and build a compelling book dummy. Together, we will explore the fine line between good and bad design, giving you a solid framework for your personal project.
The final session features an invaluable, one-on-one review with Elizabeth. She will personally critique the sample layout pages you create during the course using BookWright, InDesign, Lightroom, or your preferred software.
Please note: This masterclass focuses on design concepts and strategy. We will not cover software tutorials or technical troubleshooting.
