Photography Atelier Education Open House with Emily Belz and Jennifer McClure (Online)

The Griffin Museum, Emily Belz, and Jennifer McClure are pleased to host an online Open House dedicated to the Photography Atelier.

Join us on Zoom to learn more about the program, ask questions, and meet the instructors. Emily and Jennifer will lead a mock critique, offering a preview of what it's like to be in the classroom. Alumni of the program will also join us to share their experiences and insights.

Picturing the Future | Support the Griffin Museum's Futures Fund

We invite you to a special evening of creativity, community, and support for photography and the Griffin Museum.

This year, our museum faces unprecedented challenges, and we need your support more than ever. Arts institutions worldwide are facing a critical financial crisis, and we are not immune. Your generous contribution is crucial to our survival, and it will allow us to continue to explore and showcase the ever-changing world of photography for years to come.

We have set a goal of raising $25,000 to support our exhibitions, education, programs and operations.

Platinum/Palladium Printing with Jill Enfield (In-Person)

During this in person workshop you will learn how to make one of the most beautiful and expensive processes, platinum and pallaidum prints, which was brought into the public eye by the Pictorialist photographers. Platinum prints can range from a cool gray-black while Palladium prints usually range from warm black to very warm brown. Many people mix the two metals to cut the cost and change the tonal range to personal taste. This is a contact print process and you will need negatives the size you would like your final image to be. You will need to either bring negatives or materials for

We are honored to have two local photographers, Angela Rowlings and Carlos Paronis create unique portraits for yourself, friends and family, or even the family pet. We are thrilled to be supported by Digital Silver Imaging and their on site mobile portrait studio. You can go home with the print and a digital file. The photographers and DSI are donating their talent and time as a fundraiser for the Griffin Museum. Each portrait will be a 20 minute session, with reservations suggested, but not required. Register for your time spot here.
