If you're interested in creating imaginative, constructed images using both photographic sources and AI tools, this class is for you. We won't be aiming for realism, nor will we call these works photographs in the traditional sense. Instead, we'll explore image-making as a collaboration between your camera, your imagination, Photoshop, and AI platforms such as MidJourney

To make successful Platinum/Palladium prints, you need a negative that matches the size and tonal range of your final image. Unless you are working with a large-format camera, this means learning how to create precise, calibrated digital negatives, often the most challenging step in the process. In this live virtual workshop, Jill will guide you through the complete workflow for creating digital negatives for Platinum/Palladium

In this workshop, you will be guided through the conception, creation, and completion of your photobook (via a print-on-demand (POD) self-publishing platform.) You will also receive information on other options for publishing your book.

In preparing for this course, you will determine the subject of your photobook and identify some of the images you expect to include and possible text.

To begin, we will examine a book's structure and see examples of classic and contemporary photobooks. Through presentations, discussions, critiques, and assignments, you will work to refine your idea

Elevate your cyanotype work in this hands-on workshop exploring alternative approaches to the process. Students will experiment with gold leaf or imitation leaf, metallic paint, powder, and wax to enhance and transform cyanotype prints. Through demonstrations and guided practice, we will explore various application techniques, paper and media choices, and how the integration of metal and cyanotype can shape the meaning and visual impact of a work.

In this workshop, we will go beyond the basics of the Adobe Lightroom Classic workflow. We will begin with a brief review of the Library and Develop Modules, along with key settings that impact performance and organization. From there, we will dive into problem-solving common challenges such as replacing or adding hard drives, moving files without losing links, and maximizing the use of Collections. We will also explore new tools for sorting and organizing, creating export presets, and more within the Library Module.
